The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to ensure that you have control over your personal data and how I use it.

1 What is Personal Data?

Your personal data is any information that relates to you. It's your name, location data, and contact details, numbers that identify you – and other information about your physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity. Photos, movies and recorded voices are all examples of personal data – as are your email addresses, IP address, cookie identifiers and many other things that can be used to identify you.

2 How I Protect Your Data Security

I take your data security seriously. I do not collect any personal data from you without a justification for doing so (for example, in order to give you a service that I have promised).

I use encryption and two-factor authentication to protect your data.

If there is a potential or real data breach, I rely on the several WordPress plugins with internal reporting systems to find out about the breach or potential breach.

I have built my website using industry-standard security measures and authentication tools to protect the security of your personal data. I and the third parties who provide services for me also maintain technical and physical safeguards to protect your personal data.

You may have to provide a credit card to buy products and services from my website. I do not collect your credit card information through my website. I use third-party billing services such as Stripe and PayPal, and have no control over these services. Thus, you understand and agree that I am in no way responsible for any misuse of your credit card number. However, your data is encrypted it before it travels over the Internet using industry-standard technology for conducting secure online transactions.

I strongly urge you to protect any password you may have for my website and to not share it with anyone. You should always log out of mywebsite when you finish using it, especially if you are sharing or using a computer in a public place.

I also depend on you to contact me and tell me about any potential problems that you know about.

3 Clear Consent

Before I can collect, control, or process your data, I need you to tell me that it’s OK to process your personal data. I have to be able to show that your consent is freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. I am not allowed to force or bribe you to give your consent as “payment” for something or make it a precondition for providing a service.

(This means that even if I have promised a service to you, I will not be able to provide the service without getting your clear consent to process your personal data)

In order for me to have your clear consent, I must tell you:

  1. Who I am and how to contact me
  2. Why and how I will use your data, how long I will keep it, and my legal basis for doing so
  3. Whether I use profiling, the logic used and the significance or consequences of processing your data in that way.
  4. Whether your personal data will be shared with anyone else and how you can view that and safeguard your data
  5. How to access, update, or erase your data, stop me from processing it, or withdraw your consent

The remainder of this Privacy Policy comprises the above information.
